Permanent Housing

The mission of HousingLink expands ther affordable rental choices of residents with affordable rental housing vacancies and waiting list openings in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Twin Cities suburbs, and throughout all of Minnesota. They also publish the status of subsidized housing waiting lists in the Twin Cities through the Housing Authority Waiting List. 

Cornerstone provides safe, affordable housing for up to two years to assist survivors in achieving long term safety and economic security. While in housing, their staff provide intensive support and advocacy to help build a realistic plan that will result in accessing and maintaining employment, addressing credit and debt issues, as well as accessing transportation and other resources necessary to support themselves and their children.

The Housing Advocacy Committee (HAC) influences affordable-housing and homelessness issues. They focus on how architects, along with other designers, might be key players in helping to address these important social issues.

Their Advantage Services and Property Management teams work together to pro-actively support residents in a multitude of areas, such as subsidized housing, Section 8 vouchers, mentoring programs for students, job training, career development and veterans programs,

Christian Restoration Services provides formerly incarcerated men and women in Minnesota with safe, affordable long-term housing. They work with community partners to bring resources to these individuals to reduce the recidivism throughout Minnesota.

Community Action Partnership Hennepin County Rental Assistance Program (CAP-HC) provides rental assistance to households that may not qualify for housing assistance programs or who have been denied by other programs. Visit their website for eligibility requirements. 

Transitional Housing 

They provide short term & long-term housing and care solutions for men  and women who have been released from prisons, treatment centers or who are homeless and Independent Sober Living Housing for men who are committed to living a renewed and transformed life.

Damascus Way was established to assist men being released from prisons, jails, and treatment centers.  They help released men to find jobs, permanent housing, and a support group or community a support.Their structure is provided through strict monitoring & accountability protocols and weekly goal setting.

Alliance Apartments serves homeless, economically disadvantaged single men and women who are living with a disability. provide single adults’ safe, sober, affordable housing in combination with support services that will facilitate housing stabilization, an increase in skills and income, and an increase in health and wellness.

They help women and single-parent families move from homelessness to stability and self-sufficiency. Theresa Living Center provides transitional housing, rapid re-housing, and support services to women and single-parent families who are striving to move from homelessness to self-sufficiency. 

The Micah House addresses relapse prevention, mental and physical health, and individual counseling. Facilities are supervised 24 hours a day to ensure the living environment remains safe, clean & sober. Tenants are required to attend 12 step meetings, obtain a sponsor and secure employment.

St Stephen's Singel Adult Supportive Housing provides scattered site supportive housing to single adults and couples without children.  

Clinton Avenue Shelter is a year-round, emergency shelter for 44 homeless individuals who identify as male. 

First Covenant Shelter is a year-round, emergency shelter for 55 homeless individuals, including women and couples.

Single Adult Rapid ReHousing works with individuals with moderate acuity levels to move quickly from shelter or places not meant for human habitation to permanent housing.

Single Adult Fast Track, is a condensed form of Rapid ReHousing for single adults with higher income.

Temporary Housing

The Adult Shelter Connect provides single individuals over age 18 in Hennepin County with Emergency housing. New intakes are conducted over the phone and community cards are by appointment only Monday through Friday.
