Step Ahead is sponsored by the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities and funded by Goodwill/Easter Seals Minnesota.

StepAhead is a full-time online high school offered through Minnesota’s largest school district, Anoka-Hennepin that offers a complete high school curriculum that meets all state graduation requirements. Students have the opportunity to earn free college credit and support from a team of licensed education and guidance professionals. The program is approved from the Minnesota Department of Education.

AccessAbility 

The Career and Educational Pathways (CEP) program provides services to support adults with criminal backgrounds seeking second chances as they reenter the community. AccessAbility works with employers and educational partners to help participants launch themselves into a variety of career fields and educational pathways that allows career progression post-employment. Resources are also available for participants who need to earn their GED or need to work on contextualizing basic skills for industry applications. The CEP program is currently funded by the MN Department of Employment and Economic DevelopmentThe Minneapolis Foundation,  The Greater Twin Cities United Way and the Northwest Area Foundation.

Merrick Community Services 

Merrick community services offers a incremental 6 – 8 weeks Construction Training Programs throughout the year. The free training program provides both construction training, as well as the soft skills that will give participants the tools they need to be successful. Certificates include:

  • OSHA 30 Certificate

  • Flagging Certificate

  • First AID, CPR, & AED Certificate

  • Fork Lift Training Certificate

  • Scissor Lift Certificate

  • Boom Lift Certificate

 

Women's Business Development Center (WBDC)

The Women's Business Development Center provides services and programs that support and accelerate women’s business ownership and strengthen their impact on the economy. They offer both online webinars and on-demand courses on a wide variety of business topics.

Catholic Charities of St Paul and Minneapolis

Catholic Charities’ Culinary Skills Training Program is a 10-week class to prepare adults for jobs in the food industry. With daily classes, students not only learn in the classroom but experience hands-on learning in a professional kitchen
